Thank you, U.S. Senator Mark Udall!

Hello Friends of the Colorado River!

Please click “like” on our Facebook page here to thank U.S. Senator Mark Udall!  Once again, Colorado’s U.S. Senator Mark Udall has stood up and delivered as the go-to guy to protect and restore the Colorado River.  Recall, a few months ago Senator Udall presided over a U.S. Senate Subcommittee hearing about protecting the river.  And now, just last week, Senator Udall has offered the keynote address to a group of business executives at a conference about protecting and restoring the river.

Senator Udall keynoted the “Business of Water Summit” in Denver last week, which brought together leading business executives to discuss water conservation and Colorado River protection.

“We have to acknowledge that the current management and current use of the river is unsustainable. We’ve got to start from that point,” said Senator Udall, addressing the first Business of Water Corporate Leaders Summit in Denver, hosted by Protect the Flows, a network of almost 1,000 businesses advocating for protection of the 1,450-mile river.

The Summit was covered in the Denver Post here and in the Durango Herald here.

Also a big thank you to our friends and Protect the Flows, and to all of the businesses that attended including Alpine Bank, American Water, AT&T, Ball Corporation, Blue River Anglers, Blue Watchdog Conservation, Inc., Celestial Seasonings, Chipotle, Colorado Water Conservation Board, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Desert Adventures, Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce, GBSM Public Affairs, Holland and Hart, Life Technologies, Marriot (Denver West), Mesa Park Vineyard, MGM Resorts Intl., New Belgium Brewing, OARS Rafting, PepsiCo Global Food and Beverage, Reel Deal Anglers, Rubicon Water, Sea to Summit, Sports Authority, Texas Instruments, Whitewave/Silk and Xanterra Parks & Resorts!
