Utah Asks To Re-Start Lake Powell Pipeline Permitting; We Will Fight It

Colorado River, USA: Today, the Utah Board of Water Resources and the Washington County Water Conservation District asked the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to “reinstate the procedural schedule” for the Lake Powell Pipeline (which means they want to re-start the permitting process) (the document is posted here).

“When FERC re-starts the permitting process, we will continue to lock arms with environmental colleagues across the American West to fight this river-destroying, unnecessary project,” said Gary Wockner of Save The Colorado. “At this point in history, proposing to take even more water out of the Colorado River is simply insane.”
