PRESS RELEASE: Little Colorado River hydropower project receives “probably notice of cancellation” from FERC

Today, Pumped Hydro Storage LLC received notice from FERC that the “Salt Trail Canyon Pumped Storage Project” preliminary permit would probably be canceled. The hydropower company has failed to meet deadlines for filing reports.

“This project was a terrible idea that should have never received a preliminary permit in the first place,” said Gary Wockner of Save The Colorado. “Damming beautiful canyons to make electricity in the sun-drenched desert makes zero sense.”
