Hello Colorado Water Conservation Board, Please accept this letter as public comment on the proposed transfer of Shoshone power plant water rights to the Colorado River District to support environmental flows in the Colorado River. Thank you for starting a public process to consider this water rights transfer. I strongly support the transfer so that environmental flows are guaranteed in the Colorado River from the continental divide all the way to the state line with Utah. These water rights will maintain and potentially enhance environmental flows that protect fish and riparian areas, will support recreational opportunities including fishing and boating, and will help protect against a lower basin compact call that could force curtailment in Colorado. These water rights have always flowed downstream and must continue to always flow downstream. Thank you, Sincerely,
