Dear EPA Administrator Regan, We are thrilled to support the petition to the U.S. EPA to tell the dam truth about climate change caused by dams and reservoirs. The EPA needs to add dams and reservoirs to the EPA's Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program. The science has been clear for 30 years that dams and reservoirs -- including hydropower -- emit significant amounts of methane and greenhouse gases and can sometimes be worse climate polluters than a coal-fired powerplant.
