TAKE ACTION: Ask the Boulder County Commissioners to STOP the Gross Dam Expansion!

Hi Amazing Friends of the Colorado River!

After five years, the Boulder County Commissioners will finally get to make a decision about the Gross Dam expansion in Boulder County, Colorado! This massive dam expansion would further drain and destroy the Colorado River, build the tallest dam in the history of Colorado, be the biggest construction project in Boulder County history, and cause significant negative impacts to Boulder County’s citizens and environment.

BUT YOU CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! 🙂

On March 14, the Boulder County Commissioners are having a “hearing” on whether Denver Water should be required to go through a permit process from Boulder County. You can show up at the hearing and provide testimony and/or send an email to the Commissioners.

Believe it or not, Denver Water actually claims that they don’t even have to go through a permit process at Boulder County. THAT’S RIDICULOUS — this project would have massive negative impacts to the County, its citizens, and the environment.
