Race Across The Rockies To Support Save The Colorado!

Hi Friends of the Colorado River!

My name is Ron Baker and I’m a friend of Save The Colorado. I own a “Green Events” company that operates fitness and race events throughout the Rocky Mountain region. We are partnering with Save The Colorado to create a “Virtual Race” where you can Run, Walk, Hike, Bike to get outdoors, increase your fitness, and help raise money for this great organization!

These are strange times we are living in!

Who would have ever imagined the conditions we are now faced with?  There certainly had been warnings for years but most had gone unheeded. Having never considered something like this could happen has caused me to rethink other aspects of life we all take for granted…WATER.

Imagine the Colorado River dammed and diverted to the point of extinction.

Without the groups that have fought hard over the years to protect our rivers it might already be too late.  Green Events has supported SAVE The POUDRE and now supports SAVE THE COLORADO with the Wild and Scenic Challenge.

Through awareness and financial support Green Events wants to help. This is a way to stay engaged in the battle for physical, mental, emotional, and environmental fitness. The Wild & Scenic virtual challenge is designed to inspire you to walk, hike, run, and bike more miles this summer as your miles add up to virtually tour a selection of Colorado’s Scenic Byways. Enjoy premium products for your efforts from environmentally conscious companies such as Patagonia and Klean Klanteen as well as local businesses.
